Current Employment Opportunities

  • LTE Public Health Field Staff (continuous). We are hiring 2 LTE Water Quality Field Staff and 2 LTE Vector Control Technicians. Water Quality Field Staff will be responsible for collection and analysis of beach water quality samples. They will also perform basic microbiological analysis on drinking water and other samples as needed. Vector Control Technicians will perform field sampling of water for mosquito larvae; identify mosquitoes in the lab and perform data entry; conduct adult mosquito surveillance and perform larval mosquito control as needed. They will also collect ticks through established protocols, identification to species, and data entry.
  • Violence Intervention and Outreach Coordinator (closes 5/24/2024). The person in this position serves as a lead worker for the Violence Intervention team and works to intervene in and mediate conflicts that have the potential to lead to violence, and provides supports to individuals who are at risk for involvement in violence, with a special focus on gun violence. Serves as a liaison between PHMDC and other partners in the community conducting violence intervention work, including: connecting directly with those who are at risk of or currently engaging in violence; developing and conducting assessments using appropriate intervention techniques; and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions.
