Presenting our 2025 Annual Report
postedWe are proud to present our 2025 Annual Report!
Thank you for joining us in advancing our mission! We work with the community to enhance, protect, and promote the health of the environment and the well-being of all people. In 2025, that included achievements like:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships, including our partnership with schools and health partners to offer vaccines. Routine vaccinations, like the 2,378 we gave in these clinics, are more critical than ever to keep kids healthy and in school.
- Improving programs and services, like expanding how long we can see pregnant and postpartum moms in our nurse home visiting program. Now all families are eligible for services up to their child's second birthday, improving health outcomes for mom and baby.
- Using data to drive action, through tools like our new mosquito dashboard and reports on drug overdose-related deaths, food insecurity, and maternal and infant health.
- Engaging with communities, like combining real stories with data to support healthier moms and babies in our Fetal and Infant Mortality Review program and building bridges at 175 community events in 2025.
- Centering equity in our work, by elevating the voices of moms to inform strategic planning, revitalizing our website to make it more accessible for people with disabilities (and all of us), and collaborating with partners to help new food business owners understand topics like permitting, licensing, and food safety requirements.
- Preparing for outbreaks and emergencies, like practicing our response for flooding, working with partners to plan for various measles scenarios, and supporting community members in planning a storm shelter for a manufactured home park.

The latest Census data tells us we're now serving more than 590,000 people, which means our health department serves the largest population in Wisconsin! It is our honor to be the local health department of the 60+ communities of Dane County, and we look forward to all we can achieve together this year and in the years ahead.
