Below are services you can refer someone to. Our services are available to all who live in and visit Madison and Dane County. We provide services regardless of race, color, gender/gender expression, ability, religion, sexual orientation, place of birth/place of residence, or citizenship status. Interpretation services available. 


Services

Immunizations

We provide free immunizations for children and adults who don’t have insurance, and children with BadgerCare. 

Sexual & Reproductive Health

We provide free birth control and emergency contraception, sexual health supplies, pregnancy testing and all options counseling, testing for HIV, sexually transmitted infections, & hepatitis C, sexually transmitted infection treatment, and confidential partner notification. 

Syringe Services & Condoms

We provide free safer injection equipment and smoking supplies, sharps disposal boxes, condoms, fentanyl and xylazine test strips, Narcan, risk-reduction information, and disposable of used syringes. Sign up to get our overdose spike alerts

Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening

We coordinate the Wisconsin Well Woman Program for Dane and Rock Counties, offering connections to free breast and cervical cancer screenings for people with limited income and little or no health insurance.

Pregnancy & Early Childhood Support Services

We support pregnant people to set and reach goals, connect them with community services and healthcare, and answer questions about nutrition, preparing for childbirth and parenting, child development, and much more. This is a home visiting program. Fill out a referral form for a patient!

Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Program

We provide nutrition counseling, breastfeeding support, nutritious foods, and referrals to community programs for pregnant women, new moms, infants, and children up to age 5 who qualify based on income.

Animal Services

We follow up on animal bites to help people determine their risk for rabies or other illnesses from the bite. You can report a bite to us online! 

Lead Poisoning Follow Up

If a child has lead poisoning, we help assess the home and other places the child visits for lead, provide information about managing lead hazards in the home, and make sure the lead level is going down. 

Foodborne Illness Investigations

We follow up and investigate foodborne illness complaints.

Drinking Water and Lead Testing

We test drinking water, paint, and varnish samples for the presence of lead.
