Current Employment Opportunities
Sanitarian I (closes 2/7/2025). The person in this position performs field inspections of licensed establishments (e.g., restaurants, retail food, public swimming pools, body art facilities, manufactured home communities, beaches, and lodging) for compliance with state and local health codes. Investigates foodborne and waterborne illness complaints and outbreaks. Collects samples in the field. Documents violations, requires corrective action and re-inspects to ensure compliance with health codes.
Tuberculosis Coordinator (closes 2/7/2025). The person in this position assists with developing, recommending, implementing, and evaluating tuberculosis program objectives, policies and procedures. Monitors guidance from the CDC and the State TB program to ensure that appropriate changes are made in PHMDC TB protocol. Responsible for orienting and training new TB staff on policies and procedures.
LTE Outreach and Response Specialists (closes 2/14/2025). The people in this position conduct outreach to individuals at risk of perpetrating or being victimized by violence in order to support them and their recovery. Once connected with individuals who are at risk, they provide safety planning, information and assistance and short-term follow-up services to adults, as well as connect individuals to programs and services, including public and privately funded options. This position also mediates ongoing conflicts in the community that have the potential to lead to violence.
