Join us for an engaging and free virtual training on how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose.
Following the completion of the training, participants will be able to:
- Gain a deeper insight into the current overdose trends in Dane County
- Understand the function of naloxone - what it can and cannot do
- Recognize the symptoms of an opioid overdose
- Respond to an opioid overdose
- Administer nasal naloxone
- Refer people to harm reduction services provided by Public Health Madison and Dane County and other community partners
- Debunk misconceptions and combat stigmatizing beliefs about drugs and people who use them
