Respiratory Illness Dashboard
Key Takeaways for the Week of April 2, 2026
- RSV activity is moderate but trending down. Kids under 4 continue to be the most impacted age group. Wisconsin DHS has recommended that healthcare providers keep giving the RSV monoclonal antibody to eligible infants through April 30th (an extension from the usual end date of March 31). Extending protection past March 31st can help cover babies born later in the respiratory virus season while RSV is still circulating in the community.
- Flu activity is low and slowing down based on all data from healthcare.
- COVID-19 activity is minimal according to all data sources.
- Due to spring break, there is no new student absentee data.
- Air sampling data updates will be on pause for the next 2–4 weeks while our UW-Madison research partners relocate their lab. We'll share updates as soon as data is available again.
