  • The phone is answered Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 10:00am. We check and return messages frequently!

    Your care is completely confidential. We won’t tell your partner(s) or parent(s) about your care. If you have an STI we can help you anonymously notify partners if you’d like us to.

  • Inclusive

    We have no-pressure conversations to help you make informed decisions. Our care is inclusive and stigma-free, welcoming people of all ages, gender identities, gender expressions, and sexual orientations. We do not require proof of income or identification.

  • Free or low cost on a sliding scale

    On June 29, we began using a sliding scale fee system for in-office visits to our clinic. This means people who make more will pay more for services and prescriptions. For most people, services are still free or low cost. There is no cost for anyone 18 or under, regardless of insurance status.

  • If you are on BadgerCare+ or Family Planning Only Services Insurance, there is no cost for any services or prescriptions. Please bring your ForwardHealth card to your appointment so we can bill your insurance. 
  • If you are paying out of pocket, how much you pay will depend on your household size and annual income. No office visit costs more than $90 for anyone. We have a fact sheet that can help you estimate your cost.

We made this change so we can continue to support as many people as possible. 

  • Using a sliding scale helps keep care affordable, with free or lower costs for those who qualify.
  • No one will ever be turned away from getting care due to inability to pay.

When you book an appointment, we will explain to you what to expect. 

  • If you would like to qualify for free or discounted pricing, you will need to provide proof of income, such as a recent W-2, pay stubs, or a qualification letter for other needs-based programs like WIC or FoodShare. 
  • If you do not have any of these documents available to you, you can submit a self-attestation of income if necessary.
  • If you're paying out of pocket, we can tell you how much your services and prescriptions will cost before you are charged. We have a fact sheet that can help you estimate your cost.
  • Call us at 608-243-0411 if you have any questions about costs or want help booking an appointment. Our scheduler works most mornings and returns calls promptly within 24 hours if you leave a voicemail with your information.

Birth Control

We’ll help you find a method that’s right for you!

  • Emergency contraceptive (Plan B and Ella)

  • NuvaRing
  • Twirla birth control patch
  • Intrauterine device (IUD): We now offer pain management for insertion!
  • Nexplanon (arm implant)
  • Depo shot
  • Condoms
  • Help finding other birth control methods

Pregnancy Testing and Options Counseling

We’ll do a pregnancy test and talk to you about the results, all your options, and help you know what to do next.

Sexual Health Testing and Treatment

We can test you for:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Syphilis*
  • HIV*
  • Trichomoniasis (Trich)
  • Yeast infections
  • Bacterial Vaginosis
  • Hepatitis B and C (based on risk)
  • Genital warts
  • Herpes swab testing if you have symptoms like a genital or rectal sore

If you've been to our clinic in the past 12 months and just need routine STI testing, book an express visit! It's a 30-minute checkup if you don't have symptoms or a known STI exposure. There's no rapid testing available for this visit type! 

*You can choose to get results in 30 minutes for these tests.

If your test is positive, we’ll treat you or link you to someone who can.

PrEP and nPEP

Learn more about PrEP and nPEP and we’ll help you find someone who can prescribe them, no matter your insurance status. We also offer DoxyPEP if you qualify.

Immunizations

We’ll talk to you about sexual and reproductive health immunizations you might be eligible for and give them to you at your appointment.

We offer:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • HPV
  • Mpox, for people with known exposures. Please call us 608-243-0411, and we can discuss and get you scheduled.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Before your appointment

We’ll text you with a secure, confidential link to fill out forms. If you can’t fill them out ahead of time, you can fill them out when you arrive.

The day of your appointment

  • Eat and drink something before your appointment.
  • Don’t pee for one hour before your appointment.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time. If you’ll be late, please call us at 608-243-0411.

After your appointment

We follow up with many people who are diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infection (STI). It's a free, confidential service known as Partner Services. It's available to people who are diagnosed with syphilis or HIV, and for some who are diagnosed with gonorrhea and chlamydia.

We can help connect you to medical care and connect with your partners to help them with testing and treatment, or support you in reaching out to them yourself.

We might try to contact you by phone call, text, email, or letter. Sometimes we reach out on a social networking site or dating app. We'll always identify ourselves as a Public Health employee. No matter how we reach out, we keep your information confidential!
