Public Health Madison & Dane County Announcing Call for Proposals for a Mural

posted

Artists who reside in Dane County are invited to submit a proposal for a mural to be painted in a clinic space used by Public Health Madison & Dane County’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). The mural is intended to bring vibrancy to the clinic space and create a welcoming environment.

“We want to create an environment that welcomes families from diverse backgrounds and sparks curiosity and learning among young children,” says Katrina Harwood, Public Health Supervisor. “The artwork should reflect the experience and culture of the clients we serve and the work we do to connect with our community.”

Additional information for artists who are interested in submitting a proposal can be found on the Public Health Madison & Dane County website. Proposals must be submitted electronically by July 17, 2020 at 4:30pm.

Mural proposals will be reviewed by a team of individuals to identify the top three proposals. Families who participate in the WIC program will be invited to vote on the proposal they wish to see in the clinic.
