Current Employment Opportunities
LTE Public Health Field Staff (continuous): The people in this position are responsible for performing a variety of sampling and data collection activities in the field as well as technical and analytical work in the Public Health Laboratory. Examples of duties include collection and analysis of beach water quality samples and performing field sampling of water for mosquito larvae.
Communicable Disease Coordinator - Project (closes 6/13/2025): The person in this position provides Communicable Disease program staff with leadership, structure, and the appropriate guidance to navigate complex scenarios and decision-making. Coordinates HIV Partner Services. Routinely conducts HIV and syphilis case reviews and other quality assurance activities. Detects, monitors, and responds to urgent communicable diseases that can lead to epidemics and pandemics.
LTE Laboratory Assistant (closes 6/18/2025): The person in this position prepares samples for analysis and assists laboratory personnel in any way to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly. This includes, but is not limited to: participating in sampling, setting up samples for analysis, logging sample information into the laboratory LIMS, sample disposal, testing and monitoring of samples, cleaning laboratory supplies and equipment.
Grants & Billing Specialist (closes 6/20/2025): The person in this position is responsible for performing fiscal duties that include grant and program billings, maintaining expense summary information, processing vendor payments in assigned program areas, purchasing, preparing annual Medicaid cost reports, reconciling expenses to the financial system within assigned program areas, preparing reclassification of expense information and providing backup for entry of the biweekly department payroll in the Dane County ePersonality payroll system.
