Puberty & Menstruation 101
Event Description
Public Health Madison & Dane County is partnering with Madison Public Library to host the third annual Period Party at Goodman South Madison Library in September! This year, the program is expanding from a single-day celebration to a multi-session series where youth and families can go in-depth to learn about menstruation, puberty, period products, and more. Each event is led by a speaker from Public Health Madison & Dane County, with additional activities and snacks offered, and plenty of time for questions along the way.
The first in the series of events is called Puberty & Menstruation 101. So many changes occur during puberty, and Public Health Madison & Dane County will help women and those who menstruate demystify these physical, mental, and emotional shifts. Youth and their families are invited to come learn about the basics of puberty and menstruation. There will be lots of time and space for questions throughout the presentation and at the end.
Light refreshments and giveaways will be provided. Registration is requested.
