“Wear Orange Day” Rally to Call for End to Gun Violence

On Friday, June 7, Public Health Madison & Dane County is hosting the annual “Wear Orange Day” rally to recognize National Gun Violence Awareness Day.
The event is one of hundreds of Wear Orange events happening nationwide, all supporting the Everytown for Gun Safety initiative. Everytown is a gun violence prevention organization led by parents, students, survivors, educators, and concerned citizens.
Public Health is supporting its mission by hosting the rally in partnership with Moms Demand Action, Focused Interruption, and Dane County Human Services.
There will be food, music, speeches from community leaders, activities for kids, and a mural unveiling. There will also be resources available and information about the work underway to end gun violence in Dane County.
