Clean Sweep is Closed for the Season
Site Will Reopen On May 2, 2008
MADISON, WI- October 31, 2007 - The Dane County / City of Madison Clean Sweep Program for recycling household hazardous waste is closed as of October 31st, 2007. If you are a resident of Madison and Dane County and have materials that you need to discard after this date, please visit our website at www.danecountycleansweep.com. The website has useful guidelines, instructions and alternatives for disposal available during the winter season.
Please remember that drop offs made when the site is closed are prohibited and subject to a $2,000.00 fine per incident. Violations will be recorded by a video surveillance system.
The Clean Sweep Program wishes to thank everyone who used Clean Sweep to dispose of their recyclable materials and household hazardous wastes this year. Your efforts helped remove hazardous substances from our environment and protect the quality of our groundwater resources.
The site will re-open for the 2008 Collection Season on Friday May 2nd, 2008.
