Presenting Our 2023 Annual Report
postedWe are proud to present our 2023 Annual Report!
It’s our mission to work with the community to enhance, protect, and promote the health of the environment and the well-being of all people. Here are just a few highlights of us working towards that mission in 2023:
- Expanded services in our sexual and reproductive health clinic and launched a reproductive nurse navigator program to provide all-options pregnancy counseling and support sexual health
- Saw a record numbers of clients in our WIC and perinatal programs
- Conducted more licensed establishment inspections, responded to more animal services calls, permitted more wells and septic systems, sold more radon test kits, and responded to more illegal dumping complaints than in 2022
- Awarded more than $800,000 in community funding for violence prevention, PFAS education, and other healthy community initiatives
- Navigated the federal COVID Emergency Declaration ending, which led to us sunsetting our testing program and modifying our vaccination efforts
- Responded to multiple climate change-related events, including extreme heat and cold, and poor air quality
