Current Employment Opportunities

Public Health Nurse: Bilingual - Spanish (closes September 16, 2024). This nursing position is in our Sexual and Reproductive Health program. The nurse in this position will provide clinical services including STI testing and treatment, birth control, education, and immunizations, as well as conducting outreach activities in the community to advance the work of reproductive justice.

Outreach and Response Specialist (0.5 FTE) (closes September 16, 2024). The person in this position conducts outreach to people at risk of causing violence or being victimized by violence in order to support them and their recovery. This person will provide safety planning, information and assistance and short-term follow-up services to adults, as well as connects people to programs and services. This position will work mainly during non-regular business hours, which will include evenings and weekends and potentially on-call during events or times when increased violence may occur.

LTE Disease Intervention Specialist (continuous). The people in this position use case investigation and contact tracing to prevent and control the spread of communicable diseases, including sexually transmitted infections. This position provides counseling to people diagnosed with a communicable disease and provides education on the spread and prevention of communicable diseases. 

LTE Vaccine Response Specialist (continuous). The people in this position review the client’s immunization record and determine which immunizations are due. Assess for contraindications in order to ensure safety. Educate clients and/or parents about the COVID-19 vaccine, possible side effects and when additional vaccines/doses are due. Set up and take down immunization clinics. Transport vaccines to clinic locations.

LTE Breastfeeding Peer Counselor (Bilingual - Spanish) (continuous). The person in this position completes ongoing training related to breastfeeding and the WIC program. Provides breastfeeding education and support during WIC clinic hours though in-person visits and phone contacts. Communicates with the community about the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program and the role of the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor. Participates in agency and community-wide workgroups aimed at removing barriers to breastfeeding.
